Statement

This is an electric universe and we are electric meat. I aim to express this sentiment by working with materials and processes that are inherently charged with a sense of natural magic; firing ceramics is akin to performing geology in a hurry, copper acts as an electric conductor, and dark room photography is an expression of drawing with light. Themes that I find mysterious and ethereal are braided throughout my work: interspecies communication, illusory time, subtle bodies, non-human intelligence, and dreamscapes are all fodder for the practice.
