'techongenisis' was born from the knowledge that we are deeply entrenched in our personal technologies, and this is causing us to become physiologically merged with our devices. The piece consists of a glazed ceramic metallic orb that one can look into and perceive themselves. I took selfies in the orb, and the facets of the homemade sphere created perspectives wherein it appeared that my phone and I were melting into each other. These images are transferred onto the copper round, and video footage from the shoot is projected onto the wall above the piece.
