statement

This is an electric universe and we are electric meat. I choose to express this by working in themes that probe at the mysterious and ethereal: impermanence, time as an illusion, simulation theory, interspecies communication, subtle bodies, and inter-dimensional intelligence are fodder for my practice.The materials and processes that make up my practice are naturally imbued with a sense of natural magic; firing ceramics is akin to performing geology in a hurry, copper acts as an electric conductor, and dark room photography is an expression of drawing with light. A tenderness is invoked in the treatment of the work as I polish, burnish, wrap, layer, and weave; these processes invite me to energetically entangle with my work.
